Sketch Plans are our normal service. A sketch plan is sufficient to do 99% of all residential design build landscaping and water gardening. A sketch plan is usually one to three pages of drawings, the accompanying contract documents, and everything that is needed for a complete landscape design build job are all included. The sketch plan involves three to four meetings at your site, so the process usually takes about one month.

Sketch Plans consists of the preliminary consultation; a meeting at the project site to determine scope, analyze and measure the site, and to get a feel for the project and exchange ideas; a design presentation; a preliminary budget meeting; and a contract signing. Adjustments can be made at any stage up to the contract. Please bring a site survey and house plans if possible to the initial consultation. You will receive an integrated, professionally designed project that can be phased in over years or completed at once.

Design Fees for Sketch Plans are determined on a case by case basis. A deposit of 60% of the design fee is due at the first site visit and the balance is due at the design presentation. If a contract is signed, the design fee is applied as a payment towards the landscape contract. The design fees usually range from $1000 to $3000 depending on scope.
