The
Design Process
Design services begin with a free initial interview at my office to determine
which service is for you, as well as if we are right for you, and if we
want to take you on as a customer. We are a small company
and very concerned about our reputation. We are selective about the clients
we take on. This first meeting usually lasts about forty five to fifty minutes.
I will show you a video portfolio, pictures, and sample plans. We will discuss
your landscape needs, tastes, and project scope. We will determine if a
design is warranted, and at what level and fee.
Examples of our design work
Types of Design Services
We offer three levels of complete landscape architectural design.
Sketch plans
Sufficient for 99% of all residential design build landscaping and water
gardening. Includes one to three pages of drawings and four to five meetings
at your property. More...
Phased Plans
Phased Plans, or Landscape Architectural Plans, usually consist of many
pages of drawings, tables, materials lists, and work designed for public
bid and allied contractors. These plans are usually done for commercial
entities and very large residential estates, and most times they are phased
in over a number of years. More...
Simplified Design Consultation
This process is usually selected for simple projects that do not require
blueprints. Examples would be adding a pond or flower beds, adding plantings
or flowers to an existing landscape, maintenance of existing landscape
features, or simple dimension jobs. More...
We can design and install your perfect setting.
Here are some of the elements found in many of the garden paradises
we design and build.
1. Water features such as ponds,
streams, waterfalls.
2. Landscape plantings for privacy,
curb appeal, garden setting, year round interest etc.
3. Flower gardens and culinary
gardens.
4. People places such as patios,
decks, sitting or meditation gardens, paths, etc.
We like to blend and mix these building blocks. We try to create places
for people to enjoy by creating focal points, backgrounds, foregrounds,
and privacy just as an artist would create a painting. From every angle
and vantage point the art changes. The masterpiece also changes throughout
the day and through the seasons. Any of these elements could be the focal
point depending on how the design is worked out. It is important to properly
design the landscape before installing it.
Design is our strong point. Good design does not cost, it pays.
